Higher Education in India

Economic success and modernization of an economy depends upon the state of economy whether underdeveloped, developing or developed which again depends on the people living in those country and their level of education. As far as country like India is concerned which is in a developing phase, it is rushing towards economic success because of its high tech industries such as Information technology and bio technology to propel the nation to prosperity

Time has changes a lot when the economic success of a country use to be attained through cheap labors and low tech manufacturing but with the gradual change in the science and technology the mindset of people has also changed a lot and so the economic condition.

Now talking particularly about Indian educational sectors in 21st century, it is the 3rd largest in the world in term of students, after China and United States. Use of English as a primary language of higher education and research helps a lot student to work overseas. There are a number of institutes providing the quality education in various streams. These are either controlled by Central/State government or by a private institute but still if the stats of Indian education is compared with other countries it is lagging behind.

India educates about 10% of its young people where as other countries have more than 50%. China on the other hand has 15% of its young people in higher education.

If India want to get recognized among the research oriented universities it has to be done gradually, step by step. Country will need dozen or more universities that can compete internationally with the changing world. Without these universities, India is destined to remain a scientific backwater

Learning by Doing

Experience is the best way to have hands on practical learning. Classrooms may become mundane if only theoretical learning is delivered to students. It gives them the rough idea because bookish language is entirely different from what we execute on actual grounds. In order to facilitate this, a new method of teaching has been introduced to education domain which is ‘learning by doing’. This route of teaching cobbles the path of learning and makes academics simpler and interesting for students because students practically implement their theoretical knowledge. This method is designed in such a way that it increases students’ grasping power. In addition to this, they tend to take things more realistically in their professional life.

MVN University offers a wide range of engineering and management courses which all follow the same module of learning. Professors strive hard to make students go through this pattern. Hence they conduct classes in such a way that students start to ideate things more practically. It helps students to have a sense of critical thinking which includes thinking rationally, generating self awareness, opening minds, being disciplined and making sound judgments. The university makes it possible through seminars, workshops, conferences and training sessions, etc.

A self confident individual is always equipped to accept what comes to him. Apt knowledge and good dressing is the major source of confidence. In commercial world it is prominent for everyone to dress well and represent outstanding. One who is well dressed showcases seriousness, dedication and professionalism. Even you might have noticed that people wearing formals get more attention in the crowd and people take them more seriously.

Every industry whether legal or advertising has a particular dress code which is formal dressing. At the same time if we talk about interviews, candidates who carry themselves properly which includes ironed shirt, shining shoes and clean tie tend to leave power impression on an interviewee. In this business environment various potentially important dressing situation arises like client lunches, meetings, golf meetings, TV appearances, board presentation, etc. and every situation has special dress code. Therefore the importance of formal clothing gets more important. If you also get formally dressed in a meeting or an interview you will be able to catch more eye balls.

Education in Today’s World

There was a time when education used to be the medium of merely imparting education among the students and most of the schools were government owned. People were less inclined towards education and more towards business. We can still see the same trend in small villages today. But the time has changed a lot since then because of good rise in number of schools today. Moreover at one side the society is benefited a lot from it, on the other side it has become a business for many educational institutes.

Today literacy rate of India is increasing but at the other end the colleges are charging good amount of money for the same. The quality of education is deteriorating day by day because students are unable to differentiate between a good and a bad college due to promotional measures adopted by every institute today. At one end there is college with excellent infrastructure facilities and highly experienced teaching staff on the other there are colleges in a single building running without any affiliation from universities.

The basic idea is to impart quality education keeping check on the mal practices. Government has already taken few initiatives for the same. Still, being a responsible citizen of the country we need to actively participate implementing these measure efficiently and effectively. Let’s hope to make our country with a 100% literacy rate some day.

Education and Technology

The only thing consistent about the time is that it will change. The same words apply to the traditional education system today. The education sector has undergone a drastic change since last decade. The reason for the same is the technological revolution in field of Information Technology.

With the modern devices like tablets, laptops and PDAs, the level of understanding of the people has increased drastically. The biggest advantage of these devices is the accessibility. With mobile devices the information sharing has become easier. People can communicate with each other comfortably sharing their knowledge. With the video conferencing facility the online lessons can be taken from experts thereby giving a more interactive and rich learning experience.

Information technology has changed the way of managing data and information in various educational institutes. Traditionally data was managed on paper and retrieving information from a bunch of documents was a Herculean task which has changed a lot by managing large databases where the query can be retrieved in few seconds.

E-commerce has contributed a lot in increasing the literacy rate of the country. The reason is use of multimedia applications and interactive software which has increased the level of understanding of people, for example audio and video component lessons help the student to engage directly with similar type of people thereby encouraging more students to participate in class and increase their level of understanding. Also it helps the disabled or disadvantaged students who were unable to study due to one or other reason.

E-commerce has made a significant contribution in imparting education through distance learning programs. A number of professionals who want to pursue courses like MBA undergo distant learning programs. So we see that how much e commerce has changed today’s educational framework. Realizing this we can expect some more miracles in the coming future.
